Planning to travel with your pet? You’re not alone. Whether you’re road-tripping with your dog, flying with your cat, or mapping out a weekend adventure with your furry co-pilot, pet-friendly travel is more popular than ever. This blog is your go-to guide for the best tools, tips, and resources to help you explore the world with pets by your side. From trusted platforms like Expedia, VRBO and TripAdvisor who will help you locate pet-friendly accommodations to BringFido and TripsWithPets that put all of their focus into travel with pets.

I often think and write about dog travel for a few reasons, one, I am a dog and I cannot help it, two I prefer to travel unaccompanied, and third who knew cats even wanted to travel. Well I am here to tell you that I have been hearing all the travel meows so decided to look into it and wow I had to roll over on this one.

Cat travel is really taking off, pun intended, with more pet parents hitting the road and skies with their whiskered companions. The American Pet Products Association’s 2024 report found that 90% of cat owners have traveled by car with their cats, and platforms like BringFido are expanding to support small pet and cat-friendly travel, too. They are calling it the “adventure cat” movement, you know cats on leashes, scaling trails, and filling Instagram feeds with pawsome moments. Nothing new to us dogs, I have to say, what took you so long.

So if you are looking for travel with your dog or cat, you are in the right place each making it easier to find pet-friendly hotels, restaurants, and attractions, I’m covering it all.
