Every great adventure begins with great luggage, so don’t leave us out! Let’s face it—nothing says “jet-setting pet” quite like stylish luggage to carry all our essentials. A place for our favorite food, meds, apparel and don’t forget the treats. Did we say pack the treats!!! Whether we are hitting the road or soaring the skies, find the perfect pet luggage that is as practical as it is chic, ensuring we travel in style and comfort. Because cool pets deserve cool luggage—let’s pack and go!

Pre-Pack: Separate Medicines and First Aid Supplies

Did you know they make pet first aid kits, such a smart idea for a road trip with pets, we can get ourselves into a little bit of trouble every now and then. Pack our medications in your carryon just incase our luggage doesn’t make it. If you are traveling to some place very cold or very warm, consider apparel that will keep us cool or warm.

Plan Your Stops: Before You Leave to Ensure They’re Pet-Friendly

Map out rest stops, potty breaks, and food stops that welcome pets. A little planning goes a long way toward a stress-free journey. While there are pet specific apps, ask or search tripadvisor about pet-friendly stops, restaurants, and hotels to get the scoop. The Roadtrippers App allows you to plan your trip mile by mile to allow for pet and people stops.

Pet Tracker: Invest in a Pet GPS Tracker or Smart Tag

If you are less nervous, we are less nervous, so pop a GPS tracker on us and track us 24/7 and you will have an even better vacation. We won’t mean to wander a bit, just remember everything is new to us, so we can get a little carried away. Technology offers such great options from a GPS collar to a RFD tracker. These shops have the latest tech to choose from.

Travel Pet Gear: Carry a Comfortable Travel Pet Bed, Travel Food and Water Bowls, and Pre-Portioned Food

While more rest stops and gas stations are set up for pet potty breaks, be sure to check before you choose your stopping spots to ensure they are ready for you and your pup. Anti-Anxiety & Car Sickness Prep: Consider an Anti-Anxiety Vest for Nervous Pets and Pack a Sickness Prep Bag

Yes some of us get car sick, we don’t do it to make your life hard, we do it because our stomachs get messed up in a moving vehicle. I am not telling you what to do, but even when we beg, withhold the food, treats and water until we get where we are going. I know it seems cruel, but we have enough meat on our bones to make it and we hate to upset you when we toss our cookies treats. Some of us throw up from the anxiety of the trip, but some of us just get plain old motion sickness. You can also try an anti-anxiety vest, natural supplements, but planning for the occasion is best with a care package of easy to reach cleaning supplies is always a good idea. My Pet Peed by the way is magical, it literally works on all bodily fluids for pets and people, so toss one in before we head out! Here are a few of our favorite products that might make your next excursion better.

“Take only memories, leave only footprints and paw prints.” – Chief Seattle

Chief Seattle (c. 1786–1866) was a prominent leader of the Duwamish and Suquamish peoples. He is best known for his leadership and eloquent advocacy for Native rights and environmental stewardship. He had a deep spiritual connection to nature and his views on the interconnectedness of all living things inherently include respect and reverence for animals. Chief Seattle is often associated with a speech attributed to him, though its authenticity and details have been debated. The speech conveys profound respect for nature, emphasizing the interconnectedness of humans, animals, and the environment. A famous line often quoted from this speech is, “What is man without the beasts? If all the beasts were gone, men would die from great loneliness of spirit.” Chief Seattle may have not said these exact words, but their meaning still resonates today and is a philosophy many share.
